Installing DIY E85 fuel kit on normal petrol car

Just recently came across a fantastic product called eFlex Fuel which can turn your normal petrol car in to E85 fuel compatible without spending a lot.

Now not to make this product hype, the product is not yet officially available in India yet, but looking at the potential it might come. Now let me explain this product - This is simply a Plug and Play kind of product you just need to attach some wirings to the fuel injectors and fuel sensor on the fuel line and one computer and that's it, you can use it normally or with E85 it doesn't matter as this sensor identifies the ethanol present in the fuel and sends signals to the injectors. Also it comes with an app where you can monitor all this.

Now the Price for this device is $799 which is 76k INR which is Ok and if you ask me this is hassle, then we in India used CNG kits, LPG kits before so that's that I don't need to mention more on the maintenance part.

Does E85 Kit work with Indian cars?

Basically yes, they have different kits for different cars so and major vehicle brands are included like Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki, Toyota, etc and some are mentioned with "India" so no problem with that you just need to put in brand - Model - Year and boom it says Compatible or not. If compatible you can but it, like I searched with my friend's Grand i10 2015 model so it showed there with exact Indian make so I don't think there problem in that part.
Now to the practicality - It does work but comes with its flaws it has lower fuel economy than normal petrol upto 20% as mentioned or even more. But there are benefits too it increases the power as ethanol has higher octane than normal petrol and better combustion as it has nearly 30% oxygen (normal petrol has 3-4%) so you get kinda tune up car without hurting your ECU.
If you want to see the device in action and DIY setup you can check Chris fix YouTube channel he has explained everything with installation in his Toyota Prius.

Will E85 effect the normal Petrol Engine

Simple answer is "YES"
The main reason being the parts which are not made to withstand ethanol - fuel hose, O-rings and in older cars the fuel tank.
Ethanol is hygroscopic too so it absorbs water if fuel spends more time in the fuel tank.
